'Down the Rabbit Hole' event Arts Council England and Essex libraries.
I was commissioned to work with a local youth group to develop a series of illustrations and a craft activity for children to complete based on Alice in Wonderland that would form an art trail at libraries throughout Essex for this event.
I ran a workshop with the youth group about character design, how to pick parts of a story to illustrate and how to design the composition of an illustration. Then the group decided which parts of the story they would like me to illustrate, we designed the compositions together, and the group designed how each character should look.
You can see my character design was guided by the character development drawn by the youth group (see below)

I then took all this work away and used it to create the final illustrations, more of which you can view in the 'work' section of my website.
The Big Draw I worked with Stockport college to complete two workshops creating giant doodles. The first was with young people from local schools in Stockport, and the second was a drop in activity with the general public in Manchester city centre.

I worked as a facilitator helping the group members learn new skills and processes and develop their confidence and creative skills. Projects included creating a giant bird puppet for a carnival parade, fabric banners (both pictured), theatre set design, song writing and robot sculptures.
Wild in Art 'Rhino Mania' Rhino Parade in Chester. For this project I was teamed up with Blacon Community Trust Community centre. I ran several workshops with staff, their youth group and their after school club to develop ideas for the design for their rhino. I then went away and sketched their ideas, and everyone at the centre voted for which design they wanted me to paint onto their rhino.
They chose to turn the rhino into the community centre's mini bus, as everyone loved going to events and day trips on their bus.
